What Donald Trump Ate in China: Steak and Ketchup
China treated President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania to two spectacular dinners during their two-night stay in the country—the third leg of his five-nation tour of Asia—which included not only traditional Chinese dishes but also the president's favourite food. Prominent on the menu was "Stewed Beef Steak in Tomato Sauce," an homage, perhaps, to Trump's love of steak with ketchup—the tomato sauce that the Chinese claim to have invented hundreds of years ago, as the South China Morning Post reported. Another user was more interested in the takeaway option, asking Lei if he was allowed to take home the leftovers. The child's song, just like the choice to provide Chinese dishes known in the U.S., was likely an attempt to highlight the cultural bridges existing between the two countries. Japan anger over South Korea's shrimp surprise for Donald Trump
as informed in Conservative media in Japan labeled the banquet "anti-Japanese" for featuring shrimp from near Dokdo – a rocky outcrop known in Japan as Takeshima. Facebook Twitter Pinterest The dinner in Seoul featured a prawn (top right) that the South Korean president's office said was caught near a disputed island claimed both by the South and Japan. Photographs from the dinner, held at the presidential Blue House, show Trump embracing the 88-year-old Lee after her name was announced at the banquet, according to South Korean media. The 2015 deal has come under strain in recent months, however, over the installation of statues symbolising former sex slaves in South Korea and overseas. South Korea's liberal president, Moon Jae-in, has ordered a review of the agreement, saying it does not reflect the wishes of the majority of the South Korean people.Donald Trump trades barbs for flattery to win over China
"Who can blame a country for being able taking advantage of another country for the benefit of its citizens?" "I give China great credit," he added. How can you blame China for taking advantage of people that had no clue? I don't blame China, I blame the incompetence of past Admins for allowing China to take advantage of the U.S. on trade leading up to a point where the U.S. is losing $100's of billions. How can you blame China for taking advantage of people that had no clue?
Donald Trump seems to turn on China after day of praising country
Donald Trump has again promised to put "America first", denouncing multinational trade agreements and appearing to rebuke China – a day after he had praised the country. During his remarks, he railed against trade practices he says have put Americans out of work. I am always going to put America first," Mr Trump declared. Mr Trump had strikingly changed his tone from the previous day, in Beijing, where the President had said he didn't blame China for trade practices he once compared to theft. But Mr Trump went on to say that the US would "no longer turn a blind eye to violations, cheating or economic aggression".collected by :Tod Hinery
