Donald Trump 'incorrect' over Time person of the year claims, says magazine

collected by :Tod Hinery

Donald Trump was "incorrect", Time magazine said, when he claimed on Saturday to have taken a "pass" on an interview and "major photo shoot" because the publication told him he was only "probably" going to be named its person of the year. "Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named "Man (Person) of the Year," like last year," Trump wrote, a little before 6pm ET, from Florida where he is spending the Thanksgiving break at his Mar-a-Lago club. Thanks anyway!"In the fashion of the times, just before 8.30pm ET, Time tweeted back: "The president is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. The magazine did name Trump its person of the year in 2016. John F Kennedy was person of the year in 1961, Jimmy Carter in 1976 and George HW Bush in 1990.

CNN's Twitter account argued with Donald Trump to promote its new ad campaign

Yesterday, though, one of Trump's tweets apparently irked CNN so much that it felt the need to respond to him with a little dig and a nod to its new ad campaign. (For anybody who is new to the world in 2017, yes, this is all totally normal now.) Here's what happened: Trump tweeted what was basically an ad for Fox News, saying that it is "MUCH more important in the United States than CNN" even though CNN is bigger internationally. Since Fox News is essentially pro-Trump propaganda and CNN isn't, he believes that CNN doesn't "represent" the country very well. CNN responded for whatever reason, saying that it's not the news organization's job to represent the U.S. to the world.

Ivana Trump: Donald Trump 'missing a little bit of his old life'

President Trump's first wife Ivana Trump said she believed the president is missing his life prior to entering the White House, when asked whether she thinks he will run for reelection. "I think he's missing a little bit of his old life," Ivana Trump said in an interview on The Ray D'Arcy Show on Saturday. "Now ... from 8 o'clock in the morning to midnight, he's working, working, working and everybody shoves at him the problem of the country," she said. When asked if the president told her he missed his old life, Ivana Trump answered, "I think so, yeah." The first lady's office issued a scathing statement, calling Ivana Trump's comments "self-serving noise."

Donald Trump Doesn't Like This Any More Than You Do

Donald Trump likes going to rallies. But unfortunately for Donald Trump and everyone else in the world save Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump is about to be the president. And as miserable as it is for us, there is one small, saving grace amidst the despair: Donald Trump looks like he wants to die. Donald Trump is positively miserable.
