House Democrats Move to Impeach Donald Trump as President

(WASHINGTON) — A half-dozen Democrats on Wednesday introduced articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, accusing him of obstruction of justice and other offenses, in a long-shot effort that stands little chance in the Republican-led House. Cohen said he understands that Republicans hold the majority in the House and are unlikely to allow hearings on the impeachment articles. The articles of impeachment also charge that Trump has accepted without the consent of Congress emoluments from foreign states and from the U.S. government. as declared in Donald Trump's flagship tax cut is in jeopardy after Republican senators broke ranks to criticise the proposals. The US President went to Capitol Hill yesterday in an attempt to shore up support for the bill, which he initially wanted to call the "Cut, Cut, Cut Law". The bill passed its first hurdle on Thursday after being approved by the House of Representatives, where the Republicans have a sizable majority. Paul Ryan, the Republican speaker of the house, said: "We've got a long road ahead of us, [but] this is a very, very big milestone in that road."
